Dr. Nancy Santoro

I am a clinical psychologist with 20+ years of experience in  working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I use an active, collaborative approach in therapy to address your unique needs. I believe that everyone can gain new coping skills or insight in therapy.  I believe a person can then use these skills to feel more satisfied in life and reach their full potential.

I specialize in treating children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, school/college stress and family conflict. I also work with a wide range of adults with depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship difficulties. I work regularly with military families and understand the unique experience of this group.

In addition,  I have extensive experience in Disaster Mental Health. Whether, it be from a house fire, natural disaster, traumatic event or impact of the COVID pandemic on your life I am able to work with you to rebound from a crisis.

Are you feeling sad or worried all the time? Do you lack the energy or motivation you need to be successful? Are you struggling with relationships? Maybe you just feel completely overwhelmed by the stressors that life brings. If so, I am here to help! I am a clinical social worker with many years of experience with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am a former Army spouse with first-hand knowledge of the unique adversities that come with being a part of the military community. I also have a background in special education and guidance counseling, so I understand school-related and parenting challenges.

My goal is to create a nurturing, supportive, and non-judgmental environment in which my clients can feel safe and validated. I utilize a client-centered and strengths-based approach, taking each person’s individual and unique needs into consideration. I primarily access Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, which are proven to be extremely effective, especially with anxiety and adjustment-related issues. In my experience, with a trusting therapeutic relationship, growth and healing can really happen. Please contact me today if you are ready to make positive and lasting change. I look forward to being a part of your journey!

Dr. Jenny Desaulniers

As an advocate for women and children, I am passionate about maternal mental health. I enjoy counseling people through life’s transitions, particularly during adolescence and matrescence

(the developmental period of transition into motherhood),

and changes in jobs, residences, and family structures.

Other areas of interest include attachment styles, grief, and the challenges of families navigating the systems of support for children with mental health and learning difficulties.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a wide-range of settings, including community mental health centers, clinics, and schools. For my doctoral dissertation, I

researched the impact of early mother loss on women’s experiences of motherhood and co-founded a postpartum care products company whose mission was to shine light on the experience of becoming a mother.

I believe it is a privilege to support others. My approach is active, engaging, inclusive, and supportive. I incorporate relational, interpersonal, existential, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness techniques, and always include a good dose of humor in my work.

I am an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving adolescents, adults, and families with diverse backgrounds in individual and group therapy for over 10 years.

Dedicated to serving everyone with dignity and respect,

I support my LGBTQ+ clients with inclusive, compassionate treatment and gender-affirming care.  With an extensive background in treating trauma, anxiety, family and relationship dynamics, depression, and life transitions, I see therapy as a collaboration.  You are the expert on your experiences while I offer my education, clinical expertise, and a safe, non-judgmental space to better understand yourself and gain skills to improve your quality of life.

My education and early training focused on the impact of trauma on brain development, self-esteem, and relationship dynamics throughout the lifespan. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  I offer an individualized, compassionate,

strength-based approach focused on what is most appropriate and beneficial for you and your therapy goals.

Here for you.
